St. Mary's CWL in Brooks invited all ladies of the parish to participate in a virtual "sing-along" from the safety and comfort of their own homes.
One of our members who has a zoom account is organizing the Christmas Caroling and Powerpoint/Zoom portion of our CWL Christmas Gathering. All the ladies of the parish will be invited to this event on zoom on Thursday, December 17th at 7:00 P.M. All information will be advertised by using flocknote, the bulletin and some phone calls will be made. We have volunteers who will lead us in song with the lyrics on power point so everyone can follow and sing along.
We have about 10 volunteers to lead us in song - one or two songs for each leader. A Spanish Christmas Carol, a popular Filipino Christmas carol along with some more traditional songs and a few upbeat fun carols. Our Spiritual Advisor, Father Marino, will lead a few as well.
We will open with a greeting, opening prayer, a spiritual portion with prayer intentions (where we light a candle), and close the evening with "We wish you a Merry Christmas" carol.
Since ladies will be in their own homes the refreshments and snacks are up to them. We also left it open for ladies to decide if they wish to either dress up or festive.
We will be calling some of our elderly members who do not use email to communicate in hopes a family member can join them that evening to help them connect.
