Dr. Joshua Briscoe is Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine and Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Duke University, and medical director of Hospice and Palliative Care at the Durham VA Medical Center. He writes a monthly newsletter at the intersection of medicine and the human condition called Notes from a Family Meeting.
