World Day of Prayer

This global ecumenical movement is celebrated annually in over 170 countries on the first Friday in March. It unites people of various races, cultures and traditions in a common day of prayer, fellowship, understanding and action.

Our sisters from Zimbabwe in southern Africa based the 2020 program on Jesus’ encounter with a person positioned for healing who had not acted on the opportunities given (John 5:2-9). Jesus asked, “Do you want to be made well?” and then stated, “Rise! Take Your Mat and Walk.”
